mmkay. i'm going to be honest. i have a warning for "trying to beat the word censor." it means that i like.. instead of the word censor thing censoring the words you type, i did it, and i recived a warning.

i think it would be fair if we recieved a warning that didnt count to our "official" warnings. like we get a private message from a mod or something saying "please do not do that again."

because i honestly was really mad when i got that warning. it doesnt say anywhere in the rules that we cannot beat the word censor. we need a fair warning.

It is in the rules, and has been there for a while:

1. Posts which include profanity, racist, inappropriate or hateful remarks are not allowed and will be edited or removed and the member warned. Trying to beat the word censor by using spaces, dashes or other symbols in place of letters to post a swear word will result in a warning.

The point of a warning is to let the member know that they broke a rule and not to do it again. It's pretty much the same thing. And warnings drop off after 90 days so they don't stay on your account forever.

I can't remember exactly when that was added, probably a few months ago.

I got a warning for that too, a looong time ago.

Btw.. why do we get an "official warning" just for censoring a cuss word? I mean, no offense but it isn't worth an "official warning".

Because censoring a cuss word is just as bad as typing it all out if you only replace a few letters with symbols, we still know what you're saying. Using all ****** or Its Censored is better because we have no idea what you're saying. Those words are on the censor list for a reason, and if you try to beat that censor then what's the point in us even having a censor in place?

And I think it is worth giving out official warnings, if we just sent a member a regular pm they wouldn't take it as seriously. We just expect everyone to follow the rules.
